About Me

I am a prize-winning author of short stories, flash fiction and poetry. My work has appeared in poetry chapbooks, short story anthologies, online literary magazines and writing competitions. I have performed live readings at the Cheltenham Poetry Festival Fringe, Stroud Short Stories and The Writer’s Room on Cirencester Corinium Radio.

I am Fiction & Special Features Editor at New Flash Fiction Review and International Editor at Best Microfiction where my job description is simple – go out and find great writing.

Favourite writers include Raymond Carver, Graham Swift, John Updike, Kevin Barry, Annie Proulx, Mark Haddon, Donal Ryan, Charles Dickens, Edna O’Brien and Meg Pokrass to name a few. If you find any new or old writers I’d love – especially short story collections – please send names and titles. You can get in touch via my Contact Page.

People I’d like to thank for leading me to writing:

  • Rick Vick of The Ale House Poets
  • John Holland of Stroud Short Stories
  • Philip Rush of Slad Brook Poets
  • Meg Pokrass of New Flash Fiction Review
